We’re Better Together – St. James School

Congratulations to Mrs. Martinelli’s class at St. James Catholic School on winning 2nd place in the Community Living Ontario 5th Annual ‘Together, We’re Better’ contest. The contest was open across Ontario and challenged classes to explain why classrooms that include students who have an intellectual disability are better.

Watch their video of their rendition of ‘Stand by Me’ – it’s amazing to see our young citizens showing compassion and inclusion – to ensure that no one is left outside of the circle of community. This video really shows that St. Catharines is place where everyone belongs – and it is great to see our schools and residents working together to make our city even greater.
