St. Catharines will receive $2.8 million for affordable rental housing from a new development charges rebate program.
St. Catharines MPP Jim Bradley made the announcement at City Hall on Friday. This is one of the priorities outlined in the Housing Action Plan to encourage the private sector to build more affordable rental units. This kind of seed funding will help get additional rental units available in our city. Housing is a top priority for City Council and all levels of government are working together.
If you’re a developer looking to build in St. Catharines, please don’t hesitate to reach out about these opportunities. Read more details from Niagara This Week.
